Giridharan SN:

Myself Giridharan SN, My journey started with the mighty ever-shinning  GRD-CPF Matriculation Higher Secondary School from where I completed my SSLC with a percentage of 93. Beyond academics the school made me to excel in extra curriculars and co curriculars and helped me to place medals at district and National levels.

Then, I joined ARC matriculation higher secondary school and completed my higher secondary education with a percentage of 94.5, which fetched me a merit seat in mechanical engineering department at Kongu engineering college in perundurai. There the life was like full of academic oriented, as it should be and hence as a result came out as a class topper with a CGPA of 8.81. Clearing the national level SAE India baja event held at chandigarh , for the first time in the history of our college was a notable achievement.

And hence as a result got placed in IVTL Infoview Technologies pvt Ltd at chennai as  a software developer, where I worked for an year besides preparing for CAT/MAT exams to pursue my MBA because I found it difficult to cope with software development since I was from mechanical engineering background.

Learnt an important lesson that choosing a right  and REALISTIC goal in advance is very important. Understood that taking CS/IT department that is fetching 55% of country's GDP and carries mammoth job/growth  opportunity is way better than taking core departments like mech/civil/automobile etc , if you are aiming for a job oriented career.

Then I cleared CAT exam and joined PSG Institute of Management where again the life was more into extra curricular, co curricular and cultural events than the academics and that is how an MBA life would be but some how managed to come out with a CGPA of 8.76 and hence as a result now I am working in TCS as a business analyst.

Therefore my suggestions is that keep yourself involved in both extra curricular and co curriculars with no compromise in your academic performance so that your resume looks great  and no doubt that you can get into your dream job.

And I repeat, if you are aiming for a job oriented career keep your unrealistic goals apart and fix goals that match the trend and work hard towards it so that you will get all you need for sure. Work hard and work smart. All the best!!!

Thiyagu N:

This school has made me good in communication skill. It has provided me freedom to express and experiment ideas, teachers took care of us like their own children and even made prayers and rituals for our 10th public exams which is a proof of the saying “Matha, Pitha, Guru Theivam”. This school is base for all my success and also my future endeavours.

I did this Master's and Post Graduate Diploma Education along with the current job which is because of flexibility provided to Employees by Cisco. Today I am leading various projects globally and this leadership skills I started developing since studying in GRD CPF School by being School Pupil Leader(SPL), Sports House Captain. Today I deliver my presentation in the International Conferences(in US, Europe) and this presentation skills I started developing since studying in GRD CPF School by participating intra/inter oratorical competitions, drama/acting competitions etc. So till 10th Std, don't focus only on studies, focus on leadership skills, presentation skills, team work etc. In 11th and 12th Std, focus mainly on studies and get good marks in 12th, so it's easy to get top universities/colleges. In College/University, don't focus only on studies, focus on studies with practical/real life examples (ex: build your own projects if you are an engineer, try out operating on dead bodies if you are a doctor), leadership skills, presentation skills, team work etc. If you think Education ends with College, then you are 100% wrong. In today's world, you need to continuously learn each ad every day to keep you updated with latest technologies in the profession/business you are in. Mantra of My life is "Live as if you were to die tomorrow, Learn as if you were to live forever", so I am enjoying my life every day as if every day is a last day but also learning everyday as if there is no last day!!
