The GRD-CPF Matriculation School is administered by the GRD Foundation which bears the name of the well known educationist Dr.G.R.Damodaran who was one of the trustees and director of PSG & Sons Charities. Dr.G.R.Damodaran served as the vice chancellor of Madras University in the year 1978 to 1981. He was the dynamic force which propelled PSG College of Technology into one of the finest technical institutions in the country. 

The GRD-CPF Matriculation School was founded for the benefit of the children in the rural area of Neelambur and surrounding 25 villages in the district of Coimbatore. The school is functioning from the year 1998 and has students from classes LKG to standard 12. The school has sent 10 batches of students for the 10th standard Matriculation Board Examinations and achieved 100% results each year with a district first in the year 2007-2008.
